Maintenance and enhancement of web services
Support and evolution of existing sites and web services: bugs, new features, integrations, and optimization.
For teams and product owners who already have a system and need a reliable change loop — without switching vendors for every ticket.
About the service
Maintenance means working with a live product: reading your or a previous vendor’s code, fixing defects, careful improvements, and planned iterations. Scope and priorities should be agreed upfront.
It fits when the product is live and the internal team is overloaded, or when the previous vendor is unavailable. It is not a substitute for building a large new product from scratch — use MVP/SaaS for that.
Focus is safe change: reproduce the bug, check regressions, and keep a clear work status.
Why it works
Work with existing code
Understand the system first, then change — no blind edits.
Priority-driven iterations
Bugs, then user value, then debt — in the agreed order.
Transparent scope
Each iteration has a clear task list and done criteria.
What's included
Current project analysis
Stack, environments, risks, and critical scenarios.
Bug fixes
Reproduce, fix, and check adjacent areas.
New features
Small and medium product enhancements.
Integrations
Connections to external APIs and internal services.
Performance
Find bottlenecks and apply targeted optimizations.
Regular iterations
Delivery cadence and backlog agreement for the period.

How we work
- 01
Onboarding
Access, system overview, priority list.
- 02
Scope agreement
Iteration: what is in, what is out, acceptance criteria.
- 03
Build and verify
Changes, tests/smoke, prepare for release.
- 04
Release and retro
Ship, monitor, adjust the next cycle.

Pricing and timeline
A precise estimate depends on scope and constraints. Below are the factors that drive cost; I do not publish fixed prices without discussing the task.
- Codebase and documentation condition
- Task volume and urgency in the iteration
- Whether on-call / SLA is required
- Environment and access complexity
- Integration volume
FAQ
Do you take over someone else’s code?
Yes. I first assess readability, risk, and onboarding volume — that sets the start of work.
Is this a retainer or one-off tasks?
Both formats work. We lock a cadence: hour pack/iteration or separate tasks after estimate.
What if we need a large new module?
Large pieces are better as a separate scope (essentially a mini-MVP). Maintenance covers support and evolution.
Do you guarantee “yesterday” deadlines?
Urgent incidents get separate priority. I will not promise calendar dates without system access and reproductions.
Can this run alongside landing or SaaS work?
Yes: maintaining the current track and separate product work can run in parallel with clear boundaries.
